Mission

Our mission is to connect entrepreneurs and businesses to the resources necessary for them to locate, grow and succeed in mid-Michigan.

MMIC History

• The idea for MMIC was created in 2004 by the late Ted Doan. His idea was further developed and supported by the staff and board of directors of MITECH+.
• Several area foundations committed financial support for MMIC operation.
• The Dow Chemical Company is significant to MMIC’s past and present, as it is in the process of donating the 107,000-square-foot facility to MMIC.
• In February 2007, MMIC was granted 501(c)(3) status, allowing the organization to become a stand-alone entity.
